Azerbaijan has been elected to the UNESCO Executive Board
Azerbaijan was elected to the Executive Board of UNESCO at the elections held during the 41st Session of the UNESCO General Conference.
Azerbaijan has presented its candidature to the Executive Board of UNESCO from the Second Electoral Group.
At the elections held on November 17, Azerbaijan was elected to the Executive Board with 143 votes.
Note that Azerbaijan was a member of the UNESCO Executive Board in 2005-2009.
