The concert was jointly organized by the Permanent Delegations of Azerbaijan and Türkiye to UNESCO

A concert was held at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris with the support of the Azerbaijani National Commission for UNESCO and the Ministry of Culture of Türkiye, jointly organized by the Permanent Delegations of Azerbaijan and Türkiye to UNESCO.

Before the concert, the Permanent Delegate of Azerbaijan to UNESCO, Elman Abdullayev, spoke and expressed his gratitude to the Azerbaijan National Commission for UNESCO for its support in organizing the concert. He gave information about our national music and composers. Ambassador emphasized that the 100^th anniversary of the founder of the symphonic mugham genre, world-famous Azerbaijani composer Fikrat Amirov, who made great contributions to the musical culture of Azerbaijan, was included in UNESCO's Anniversaries list for 2022-2023, and was solemnly celebrated at the UNESCO Headquarters. He said that the Honored Artist of Azerbaijan, conductor, composer and pianist Turan Manafzade performed the works of F. Amirov at her concerts in Azerbaijan, Austria, Germany, Romania, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Türkiye, Uzbekistan.

Gülnur Aybet, Permanent Delegate of Türkiye to UNESCO, said that the concert reflects the close cooperation between the two brotherly countries. She spoke about the successful concerts of tenor Murat Karahan, director general of the Turkish State Opera and Ballet, with the symphonic orchestras of many European countries in famous operas of the world.

Then, the director general of the Turkish State Opera and Ballet, tenor Murat Karahan and Turan Manafzade performed the works of well-known European composers, Fikret Amirov, as well as Azerbaijani and Turkish folk songs. Also, T. Manafzade presented the music "to Khojaly" dedicated to the Khojaly genocide, as well as the folk song "Lachin". The audience applauded the performance of the artists.

Ambassadors and permanent delegates accredited to UNESCO, diplomats, representatives of the Azerbaijani and Turkish communities living in Paris took part in the concert.

After the concert, the audience was treated to the national cuisines of the two brotherly countries.
