Within the framework of the 41st session of the UNESCO General Conference, Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov met with Andrea Beluzzi, Minister of Education and Culture, Universities and Research of San Marino.
The meeting was attended by the Permanent Delegate of our country to UNESCO, Ambassador Elman Abdullayev and diplomat of the Permanent Delegation Nigar Gurbanova.
Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov spoke about the restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity last year. He talked about the Baku Process initiative launched by President Ilham Aliyev in 2008, the World Forum for Intercultural Dialogue as one of the main global platforms for intercultural and interreligious dialogue, the environment of multiculturalism and tolerance in our country, the global campaign "Peace for Culture" and its goals.
The Minister of Education and Culture, Universities and Research of San Marino Andrea Beluzzi spoke about his visit to our country during the European Games in 2015 and shared his fond memories. He said that his country attaches the great importance to cooperation with Azerbaijan. Speaking about inter-university relations, he touched upon student and teacher exchange. He stressed that they are interested in strengthening cooperation between our countries.
