Azerbaijan participated at the 213th session of the UNESCO Executive Board as a member

On November 26, 2021, Azerbaijan participated at the 213^th session of the UNESCO Executive Board as a member.

The session was attended by UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay and Santiago Irazabal Mourao, President of the 41^st Session of the UNESCO General Conference, Permanent Delegate of the Federative Republic of Brazil to UNESCO.

During the session, there were held the elections for the post of Chair of the Executive Board for 2021-2023, and with the support of 56 out of 58 members of the Executive Board, the Permanent Delegate of Serbia to UNESCO Tamara Rastovac-Siamashvili was elected.

Then the new bureau of the Board was approved and thus the vice-chairs, heads and members of the Commissions and Committees, which are part of the Board, were determined.

Our country has been elected a member of the Special Committee and the Committee on Conventions and Recommendations from the Eastern European States Group.
