The draft resolution dedicated to the Baku process was unanimously adopted at UNESCO

The draft resolution entitled "The Baku process: promoting intercultural dialogue and social inclusion for sustainable peace and development" proposed by Azerbaijan for the agenda of the 215^th session of UNESCO was adopted unanimously.

41 countries joined the draft resolution as co-sponsors.

During the presentation of the draft resolution, the Permanent Delegate of Azerbaijan to UNESCO, Elman Abdullayev, noted that the initiative started in 2008 is one of the most important platforms in the promotion of intercultural dialogue in the world, and referred to the resolution of the UN General Assembly and the report of the UN Secretary General.

It is noted that the World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue (WFID), where international organizations such as UNESCO and ISESCO are partners, has attracted about 1,500 participants from 135 countries so far.

Although Armenia, a member of the UNESCO Executive Board, tried to block the draft resolution comprehensively. As a result of intense discussions, the draft resolution was unanimously adopted.

The main goal of the WFID is to create a platform for people all over the world to talk, communicate and exchange about intercultural and interreligious dialogue.
