Host country agreement was signed between the Government of Azerbaijan and UNESCO

On October 27-28, the next session of the Intergovernmental Committee for Physical Education and Sport (CIGEPS) was held at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris under the chairmanship of the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan Farid Gayibov.

As part of the session, on October 28, Minister Farid Gayibov made a presentation on Azerbaijan to the members of the Committee regarding the holding of the International Conference of Ministers and Senior Officials Responsible for Physical Education and Sport (MINEPS VII) in Baku. Then, a host country agreement was signed between the Government of Azerbaijan and UNESCO to host the MINEPS VII on March 14-17, 2023 in Baku.

The agreement was signed by Farid Gayibov, Minister of Youth and Sports on behalf of the Government of Azerbaijan, and Gabriela Ramos, Assistant Director General of UNESCO For Social and Human Sciences, on behalf of UNESCO.
